WHAT THE INSTALL INVOLVES

AMPLIFIER INSTALLATION — WHAT WE HANDLE

Class A/B vs Class D

Class A/B amps run warm but deliver the cleanest sound — preferred for speaker channels. Class D amps are highly efficient (90%+) with minimal heat — ideal for subwoofer mono blocks. We match topology to application for every build.

Gain Setting with Oscilloscope

Gain is the most misunderstood control on any amplifier. We set gain using a digital oscilloscope at the amplifier's output, not by ear. This ensures you get maximum clean output without clipping — protecting both your amp and your speakers.

Power & Ground Routing

Every amplifier installation uses correctly gauged OFC power cable run directly from the battery. Ground connections are made to chassis metal with a sanded, treated contact point — not sheet metal screws. Poor grounds destroy amplifiers.

Signal-to-Noise Ratio

RCA routing is separated from power cables wherever possible to prevent alternator whine and interference. We use twisted-pair shielded RCA cables and properly terminate all cable shields at a single ground point.

Thermal Management

Amplifiers are mounted in locations with sufficient airflow — never under carpet or in sealed compartments. For installations in tight spaces, we add ventilation channels or low-noise fans to keep temperatures within spec.

Estimated Install Time

A single-amplifier install (1 amp + sub) takes 4–6 hours. A 2-amplifier setup with full wiring takes 6–8 hours. Builds with a DSP processor, multiple amplifiers, and custom wiring management can take 1–2 full days.

POWER YOUR SYSTEM RIGHT

Amplifier matching is critical. Let our team spec your power solution so every component performs at its absolute best.
