INSTALLATION PROCESS
How long does a full system installation take?

It depends on what's being installed. A simple head unit swap typically takes 2–4 hours. A full system with speakers, subwoofer, amplifier, and wiring takes 6–10 hours and is usually done over 1–2 days. Complex builds involving DSP, custom enclosures, or fiberglass fabrication can take 3–5 full working days.

We'll give you an accurate timeline estimate during your free consultation before any work begins.

Do I need to leave my car at your shop?

Yes. All installations are done in our shop at 17-A Scout Borromeo St., Quezon City. For most builds, you can drop off your vehicle in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon or evening the same day. Larger builds may require overnight or multi-day drop-off.

We'll confirm the schedule during your consultation and keep you updated throughout.

Will the installation affect my factory warranty?

For head unit installations, we use OEM-matched plug-and-play harness adapters — we do not cut factory wiring. This keeps your vehicle's electrical system untouched and reversible. For speaker and amplifier installs, we follow best practices to avoid any modifications that would affect chassis or powertrain warranties.

If you have specific concerns about your vehicle's warranty, bring them up during consultation and we'll work with you on the safest approach.

Can I watch my car being installed?

Yes — we welcome clients to observe their installation. Our shop is open Monday–Saturday, 10 AM–7 PM. Just let our team know you'd like to stay, and we'll keep you informed at each stage of the build.

Do you do custom fabrication (fiberglass, custom enclosures)?

Absolutely. Custom fabrication is one of our specialties. We build everything from simple MDF ported enclosures to full fiberglass speaker pods, A-pillar mounts, and competition-spec sub enclosures. All custom work is quoted based on design complexity and materials.

PRODUCTS & COMPATIBILITY
Can I supply my own equipment?

Yes, we accept client-supplied equipment for installation. However, we cannot provide warranty on the equipment itself — only on our installation workmanship. We recommend letting us source the components where possible, as we can verify specs, authenticity, and compatibility before installation begins.

Do you work on all car models?

We work on virtually all car models available in the Philippine market — sedans, SUVs, crossovers, hatchbacks, pickup trucks, vans, and MPVs. This includes all Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Porsche models.

Some luxury or exotic vehicles may require specialty dash kits or custom fabrication work, which we'll discuss during consultation.

What brands do you carry?

Our primary brands are Focal, Alpine, Pioneer, JL Audio, Kenwood, Rockford Fosgate, Morel, and Audison. We also carry Kicker, Sony, JVC, and other brands depending on availability.

If you have a specific product in mind, contact us and we'll confirm availability or help you source it.

Will a new head unit keep my steering wheel controls?

In most cases, yes. We use iDatalink Maestro and Axxess ASWC-1 interfaces to retain factory steering wheel audio controls with aftermarket head units. Compatibility depends on your specific vehicle — we'll confirm this during consultation before ordering parts.

WARRANTY & SUPPORT
What warranty do you offer on installations?

We offer a 1-year workmanship warranty on all installations. This covers wiring, mounting, connections, and any defect caused by our installation work. If something we installed fails due to our workmanship within one year, we'll fix it at no charge.

Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty — typically 1 year for electronics. We assist with warranty claims on products we supplied.

What happens if something stops working after install?

Contact us immediately. Bring your vehicle in and we'll diagnose the issue at no charge within the warranty period. Most post-install issues are caused by a loose connection or grounding issue — these are quick fixes for our team.

Outside the warranty period, we offer diagnostic services at a standard fee credited toward any repair work.

Do you offer after-sales support and tuning?

Yes. We offer system re-tuning, DSP reprogramming, and acoustic adjustment sessions after installation. Many clients come back for a "tune-up" after a few weeks of listening to dial in the sound exactly to their taste.

COMPETITIONS
What are IASCA and EMMA competitions?

IASCA (International Auto Sound Challenge Association) and EMMA (European Mobile Media Association) are the two most recognized car audio competition bodies worldwide. Vehicles are judged on sound quality, bass performance, and installation craftsmanship by certified judges.

Quest Car Audio has prepared and competed in both IASCA and EMMA events in the Philippines since our founding. We know the scoring criteria inside out and build competition cars to win.

Can you prepare my car for competition?

Yes — competition preparation is one of our core specialties. We offer full competition build services including RTA-calibrated DSP tuning, custom fabrication, acoustic treatment, and competition documentation. We've helped clients win in both Sound Quality and SPL (volume) categories.

Contact us to discuss your vehicle, target class, and competition date, and we'll build a custom preparation plan.

BOOKING & PAYMENT
How do I book a consultation or installation?

You can reach us by phone at +632 215 5408 or +63 922 80 QUEST, by email at [email protected], or through the contact form on our website. Walk-ins are welcome during store hours (Mon–Sat, 10 AM–7 PM).

For large installs, we recommend booking at least 3–5 days in advance to ensure we have the correct parts on hand when your vehicle arrives.

Is the consultation really free?

Yes — completely free, no obligation. Come in, describe your goals, and let our team walk you through product options and installation approaches. You'll leave with a detailed written quote. We won't pressure you to decide on the spot.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, bank transfer (BDO, BPI, UnionBank), GCash, and Maya. For larger builds, we require a 50% deposit upon booking confirmation to secure parts. The balance is settled upon completion before vehicle pickup.

Do you offer installment or financing options?

Currently we do not offer in-house financing. However, many clients use personal credit cards or bank installment plans for larger builds. We accept credit card payments at the shop (Visa, Mastercard). Contact us if you need help planning a phased build — sometimes splitting an install into stages is the most practical approach.
